Hi, I’m Alejandro Diaz.

I work with Oracle databases, mostly around Data Pump, patching, and upgrades.

I started this site because I kept running into issues that weren’t well explained. Errors that didn’t make sense, behavior that wasn’t obvious, and documentation that assumed you already knew the answer.

This isn’t official documentation or a “follow this exactly” kind of blog.

It’s a collection of things that tripped me up, what was actually going on, and how I eventually understood them.

Most of what I write comes from real problems I’ve run into while working with Oracle systems, especially around Data Pump.

I’m an Oracle Product Manager, but everything here reflects my personal experience and opinions, not official Oracle guidance.

If you’ve ever looked at a Data Pump error and thought “I have no idea what this means,” you’re in the right place.
